So five minutes before we leave is probably not the best time to announce brief hiatus but I figure this was implied by last Jack post so no ooc announcement. Mikke and I are going to do fun things in a place with no internet! /o/ Back at some point in the future.

( Just a quick update on what I'm up to, where I'm at. )

Hey everyone! Here is a very brief update for you all, as I still don't have internet, am using the school computers and am not sure when I will next have net.

It looks like I will get net some time next week. Basically, there was a misunderstanding and although I've been set up with a modem and everything is ready for me to use ADSL, the company couldn't set me up with a service provider because that required info they didn't have -- I have to do it myself. Only, no one thought to tell me this. So, yeah. 3-5 days they say. I am assuming those are working days, so maybe next week, Wednesday? If I am not online by then something (else) has gone wrong.

In the mean time, I started making icons and went from there to rewatching pretty much all of Teen Titans Season 4 and have some incoherent gleeful thoughts about it all. Basically, I have speechless flaily love for all of the Titans and also Slade.

I was just packing the last of my stuff into my carry on and I'm all ... huh. I still have room. Just then, my eyes fell on this cute collection of envelopes and letter writing paper I've had for donkey's years. And I thought 'well, it'd give me something to do.'

Hiatus! Of the leaving for Christchurch in just over an hour, probably staying all of tomorrow, catching a bus back when I can variety. /o/

Because I was doing busy stuff, I haven't actually played that much today -- just made a Smallville and a Summers family, made and then deleted the Holy Girlfriends family because I wasn't happy with Ivy's clothing choices, and Kieran found me some very awesome Batman skins, so I will be redoing the Bats and Future Bats most likely sending them clothes shopping.

hentaisatsuki is a life-saver -- she told me where to find the photos I've been taking with the Sims inbuilt camera. Sadly, the camera default is really small and cruddy, so it's hard to tell what is actually going on in most of these. Still, I can but post.

As some of you know, things have been extremely hectic here lately, and I'm finding great solace in the Sims 2. It is addictive mindless crack, good for what ails you, and now I'm going to inflict it on you all.

Family Number #1 is the Bats Family, Alfred, Bruce, Tiny, Nightwing and Robin. Sadly they are not appearing in this post because I don't know how to export my photos out of the Sims. Alfred has 'encouraging Bruce to be nice' as an aspiration and wants to find love, or tickle his grandson. Bruce, meanwhile, just wants another logic point. Or maybe to learn how to make toaster pantries. Tiny is potty-trained but still loves playing in toilets and wants attention and then some. Bruce whined until I took Tiny's teddy bear away from him.

Nightwing's career path is slacker, and his aspiration is to get laid. He fears losing a game to Robin. Robin has a pimple, fears being rejected for his first kiss, and brought a girl home from school. Alfred spontaneously decided to sit between them on the sofa. Robin's life is pain. Nightwing put on weight, but he fits into his costume again now. He also spontaneously made out with Bruce and then spent two hours congratulating Bruce about this. Yeah.

I think I already told everyone this, or maybe I just told Buffy multiple times, but dropping off the face of the internet for two whole days while I visit my other relatives for Mother's Day! Returning my Monday noon/Sunday evening in the States. See you then!

Got back home safely, if a little carsick, and have only just whipped my inbox into submission. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how around I'm going to be -- we'll have to play things by ear. Basically, trip to Wellington didn't have the desired outcome, but it did reinforce the fact that I really want to be in full-time employment somewhere that isn't here, so yes. I'm going to be concentrating on that more and will probably try to head into Christchurch next week. Family has other plans; sounds like I'll be put to work in the garden, so yeah. Further updates as events warrant!

Not important enough for CFO, but I've been really tired lately and I woke up this morning with a headache and possible a temperature, so I'm letting people know that I'm probably going to be scarce for a bit. I will be around for posts/things I've made plans for, but I'm not feeling up to big things right now. Please bear with me!
